The two night fun filled GlamShop fundraiser shopping event and fashion show came to an end yesterday with a good turnout, mostly women of all ages. Mark Shim, owner of Pradaria, a new Brazilian Churrascaria style restaurant on Westheimer, happily hosted the event. Chef Mark Shim prepared scrumptious appetizers for the guests, and believes in hosting many such events as it increases awareness of different cultures.

Once Upon a Blue Muse Fashion Show

Event: Runway Fashion Show
Venue: Avant Garden, Houston
Date: May, 2009

Coronation Vintage invited Houston fashion lovers for a night showcasing their Vintage Fall ‘09 Collection.

‘Once Upon a Blue Muse Fashion Show’ was inspired by: “The girl who knows clothes”… and incorporates the organic elements of fire, water, and sky!. They started the collection with a palette of fiery orange, golds and mineral browns, taking the audience on a visual journey through fire and earth. Then migrated back to the sea with saturated blues. Finally, the fashion sensibilities were tickled with powder blues, grays and silvers.

It was a packed evening as Houstonians enjoyed a perfect evening of glamour, fine weather and at the same time doing some good, as a portion of the proceeds for the night benefited Planned Parenthood.

The models were provided by Neal Hamil, hair by Cara Crafton of Craft Salon and makeup by Wendy Martin.
