Rendezvous With Wine and Food

Event: Wine and Food Week
Date: May 30, 2009
Venue: Marriott Waterway Convention Center, Woodlands, Texas

It was $98/per person to enter the grand finale event for the Wine and Food Week on Saturday May 30, 2009 but that did not deter wine and food connoisseurs from attending this most talked about event.

Over fifty restaurants from throughout Texas and beyond, showcased their culinary talents to compete for Wine & Food Week’s national Waterford Crystal Chef of Chefs Award. As the first culinary and wine event in the country to go “Green”, Chefs prepared their selections focusing on sustainable, organic and local products that are sure to tantalize the taste buds of the participants.

The highlight of the evening was a Pani Puri appetizer, inspired from India, by Executive Chef Robert Gadsby of Bedford Restaurant. It was a heaven for cheese and meat lovers.

Overall a fun and dressy event. For all those who love to sip some quality wine and enjoy gourmet cuisine, this was the event to be at. So all of you who missed it… make sure to catch the event next year.
